On May 20th, Mixx Bistro Bar was fortunate to showcase the talent of Jesse Young and the "Kona All Star Jam". ÝThe Band not only gave the standing-room-only crowd, a rousing 3-hour concert but they had numerous patrons dancing in the isles. ÝWhat a special night. ÝMahalos!

It was a honor and a pleasure presenting Jesse Colin Young in the Mansion Series last fall. With Vito Truglio on bass and back-up vocals, the audience was transformed back to the days of the Youngbloods and the solo albums of Jesse. The message of Peace, love and togetherness still resonates in his music. His new songs are as powerful as his classics. Jesse's voice is strong and rich and his guitar work is flawless. Jesse was gracious with his personal time, signing stacks of albums and visiting with his adoring fans. I only wish he will return for another performance in the near future.

What a treat it was to have had Jesse and Vito on the air with us during our membership drive.
They couldn't have been more gracious, the music was wonderful and it was the most enjoyable hour of radio I've done in years- no, decades. I'm going to work on our PD and music director to maybe add a song from the new CD to the playlist. I think the obvious one to start with is the brilliiant "Imagine/What's going on" combination, which knocked all of us right on our asses.
